Guest Change Log

As an added security and troubleshooting measure, Chorum tracks and logs a variety of activities tied to individual guest bookings. The purpose behind this function is to create a "paper trail," so to speak, of activities that may have modified the guest booking in some fashion, and verify who made the modification and when.

To access the guest change log, locate and access the desired guest booking. Then, in the upper Show ribbon, select the Change Log button to access the log.

The change log lists all activities from newest to oldest, and inputs relevant information in one of four columns: Action, Change, Timestamp, and User.

Timestamp

Notes the exact time the action occurred, using the following format:

MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PM

User

This notes the user who performed the logged action. In the event the action was performed by an interface such as the CRSClosed Central Reservations System: Computerized reservation software used to maintain hotel information, inventory, rates, and manage bookings through online mediums via various booking channels (GDS, IBE, OTA, etcetera)., the system will log the interface as the user instead.
